DAY 1 – ADELAIDE TO KANGAROO ISLAND
Travel from Adelaide through the Fleurieu Peninsula to Cape Jervis and take the ferry to Kangaroo Island.
Visit Seal Bay Conservation Park and observe Australian sea lions in their natural environment.
Explore scenic beaches, wildlife areas and Pennington Bay. Explore Kingscote, Boudin Conservation Reserve, American River and the Pelican Lagoon.
Overnight: Kangaroo Island
DAY 2 – KANGAROO ISLAND
Spend the day exploring Kangaroo Island’s main attractions.
Visit:
- Flinders Chase National Park
- Remarkable Rocks
- Admirals Arch
- Stokes Bay
- Snelling Beach
- Vivonne Bay
Depending on time, visit a local honey farm and Emu Ridge Eucalyptus Oil Distillery.
Look for kangaroos, koalas, echidnas and native birdlife throughout the day.

DAY 3 – KANGAROO ISLAND TO PORT AUGUSTA
via Clare Valley
Take the morning ferry from Kangaroo Island back to Cape Jervis, then travel north through the scenic Fleurieu Peninsula and past Adelaide.
Continue into the beautiful Clare Valley, one of South Australia’s most famous wine regions. Enjoy a relaxing drive through rolling hills, vineyards and historic country towns, with time for a short stop, local lunch or optional wine tasting.
From Clare Valley, continue north as the green agricultural landscapes gradually become drier and more dramatic.
Arrive in Port Augusta, located between the Flinders Ranges and Spencer Gulf and widely known as the gateway to the Australian Outback.

DAY 4 – PORT AUGUSTA TO COOBER PEDY DAY 5 – COOBER PEDY T
via Clare Valley

Travel north along the Stuart Highway through vast desert landscapes, remote roadhouses and salt-lake country.
Arrive in Coober Pedy, the opal-mining capital of the world.
Explore underground homes, churches and opal mines. Visit the Umoona Opal Mine and Museum and learn about life in this unusual desert town.
Overnight: Underground accommodation in Coober Pedy
DAY 5 – COOBER PEDY TO ULURU
Continue north through the South Australian Outback and into the Northern Territory.
Travel through red desert landscapes, remote cattle stations and traditional Outback roadhouses.
Arrive at Uluru and enjoy sunset with refreshments and light nibbles.
Overnight: Yulara / Uluru
DAY 6 – ULURU AND KATA TJUTA DAY 7 – SUNRISE AND DEPARTURE

Begin the day with sunrise at Uluru.
Explore selected sections of the Uluru Base Walk, including the Mala Walk or Mutitjulu Waterhole.
Learn about Tjukurpa and the cultural significance of Uluru to the Anangu people.
Visit Kata Tjuta and choose between:
- Walpa Gorge
- Valley of the Winds
- Kata Tjuta Dune Viewing Area
